Patrizia Grifoni is senior researcher at the National Research Council of Italy. From 2009 she leads the research unit of Social Informatics and Technology Assessment of CNR where she works since 1990. From 1994 to 1999 she was Contract professor of “Elaborazione digitale delle immagini” in the course for Cultural Heritage professionals with the University of Macerata – Macerata. She received the degrees in Electronic Engineering at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” – Rome. She is the author of more than 250 papers on journal, books and conferences. She leads the research unit of social Informatics and Technology Assessment. She was the scientific responsible for CNR of many European and National projects. Her main research interests are in Social Informatics, Social Computing, Responsible Research and Innovation Acceptance, Addiction, Digital ecosystems, Ontologies, Machine learning, Statistical databases, Geographic Information Systems, Web applications, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Interfaces, Multimodal interfaces, Social media and Social Networks, Sketch based interfaces, Accessing Web information.
